Job Description

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the incumbent will lead Reliability Engineers from various disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and DCS) to improve the plant’s equipment reliability performance through:

• Formulation and implementation of strategic reliability programs
• Adoption of new technologies in the market and
• Collaboration with Global Reliability Networks to acquire best knowledge and practices.

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for measuring, improving and sustaining the site’s equipment reliability performance.
• Supervise and effectively deploy Reliability team and resources.
• Provide oversight and guidance over all reliability initiatives under the Maintenance Team.
• Own and run the site’s Mechanical Integrity and Quality Assurance Program.
• Formulate and implement comprehensive Predictive and Preventive Maintenance (PPM) programs for the plant’s fixed equipment.
• Provide direct engineering support and conduct in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) on systems and equipment failures to develop sustainable preventive actions.
• Lead and facilitate the Failure Mode Equipment Criticality Analysis (FMECA) of the plant’s key systems to identify and address gaps in design, operations, maintenance and spares.
• Conduct economic evaluation and implement new technologies to improve equipment’s condition based monitoring (CBM) programs.
• Develop new solutions to overcome risk posed by obsolete plant equipment
• Network with other sites to solicit new ideas to improve site reliability performance

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in the design, operation and (or) maintenance of plant fixed and rotating equipment. Relevant work experience in a chemical/petrol chemical/pharmaceutical/ process industry will be preferred.
• Certification in CBM technologies, such as Ultrasonic Inspection, Vibration and Thermographic Analysis, will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge on SAP system Maintenance Module will be an added advantage
• Excellent knowledge in reliability engineering methodologies, FMECA, RCA, RCM and RBI techniques
• Resourceful team player, with proven leadership qualities/experience
