Senior System Analyst – Data Integration and Reporting 2

Our client is one of the largest research, consulting, and systems integrator based in Japan.

We are currently looking for a Senior System Analyst to:

Reporting to the Team Leader or manager of the System Integration and Network department, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for project planning and implementation.
The candidate is expected take a senior role in all project phases, he/she is expected to have a thorough understanding of system development life cycle and experience in managing vendors to implement software/product in an enterprise environment.

• Liaise with system (product) owners to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives, make sure that clients’ needs are met as projects evolve.
• Translate the requirements and scope into RFP to vendors, review vendor’s solution proposals and select best solution to propose to system (product) owner.
• Prepare paper works, work closely with system (product) owner and project manager to seek budget approval by following internal budgeting process.
• Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment and information. Work with the project manager to eliminate blockers.
• Identify and analyze project issues and risks, coordinate with project manager, system (product) owner and vendors to close project issues and mitigate project risks.
• Work out SIT test plan, review SIT test cases and SIT test results produced by vendors.
• Review all required SDLC documents produced by vendors by following the bank’s quality standard and process framework.

Our client needs someone with the following skills:

At minimum, the candidate should possess the following qualifications.
 Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognized institution.
 Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role in banking or financial institution for minimum 3 years. Experience in project management from conception to delivery is plus.
 Possess profound knowledge of RDBMS, good understanding on database design from application’s perspective.
 In-depth knowledge of .NET or Java programing, strong scripting skills on DOS, Unix Shell and VB scripting.
 Strong analytical, problem solving and documentation skills.
 Good interpersonal skills with strong teamwork spirit. Must be able to function well as a team member in a project and sourcing for technical solution independently.
 Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
