The director of organizational development position is responsible for managing and supporting the assessment of organizational needs and the design, implementation and evaluation of programs that facilitate the professional development and continuous learning of team members, particularly executives and emerging leaders.

Job Description

We are currently looking for a HR Manager to:
• Manages organizational development (OD) strategies and processes.
• Assesses OD needs of operating, business and functional units.
• Leads the design, development and implementation of programs, policies and strategies tailored to meet OD needs and program goals.
• Designs and executes key programmatic elements of the OD process.
• Evaluates strategies and programs to measure the achievement of established goals.
• Assists with the provision of expert facilitation and coaching to supervisors and managers regarding OD methods and tools.
• Manages the individual development planning process for executives and emerging leaders.
• Provides consultative services to the business units regarding mentoring.
• Plans and leads short- and long-term planning for OD programs.
• Prepares budgetary recommendations that meet departmental goals and provide for effective management of resources.
• Supervises a group of personnel in a work unit, each performing similar and/or interrelated tasks and activities.
• Design and develop the orientation program.
• Determine appropriate learning resources and delivery methods for the target audience—and perform cost-benefit of designing programs in-house or using external subject matter experts.
• Create the organization’s learning and development strategy appropriate for achieving the organizational mission as well as the long and short term goals.

Requirements

Our client needs someone with the following skills:
• Master’s degree in organizational development/organizational behavior. Related experience considered in lieu of education. 6 to 10 years of experience in the similar role.
• Experience working with organizational development for operations in a large organizational and/or functional business unit.
• Experience in consulting and executing in a fast-paced startup working environment is a plus.
• Experience conducting leadership training.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills; ability to interact with people at all levels.
• Advanced or Native English speaking (advanced Japanese is a plus).
• Collaborator/ a good team player.
