Our client is a global international engineering and marine service provider with a dominant presence here in APAC.

Job Description

This is a high management visibility role to lead and provide strategic influence on procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier diversity and strengthen supplier relationships, in alignment with the overall global business strategy. You must be comfortable in transformational work and have a deep knowledge of procurement best practices that will help to drive significant savings and enhance revenue growth. Drive maturity through strategic initiatives such as benchmarking, Total Cost of Ownership, SPM/SRM, should cost modeling, E-Sourcing and data management. Lead the organization through change, drive company-wide adoption of sourcing best practices and controls by driving a spent analysis programs. Manage the performance of Suppliers to drive alignment with company’s goals and strategies. Identify and implement Supplier Diversity strategies to achieve company-wide targets. Build credibility with internal and external global stakeholders while providing strategic thought leadership to the overall business.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 - 12 years’ of relevant functional experience in a high-value, high-volume purchasing and contract negotiation experience across a range of services and commodities, at least 5 years of which is supporting Asia Pacific regions (China included), multi-category context.
• Team management experience and have managed procurement spending of over S$120million.
• Prior experience in (re-)building a procurement team (recruit, develop and retain), and establishing and driving first time adoption of procurement capabilities in a global organization.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional and multicultural teams.
• Project Management experience, preferably with six-sigma certification advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office products (Excel/Word/etc.)
