Job Description

In this role as a Senior Executive, Risk & Performance Management, the incumbent will be responsible for the following:

• Document, and ensure communication of key risks events, indicators and controls.
• Maintain Enterprise Risk Management information system (inc. Interisk Risk Scorecard).
• Work with operations and business units to design, implement and maintain their risk controls.
• Work with project teams to provide project risk assessments as per the Group PRA framework.
• Gather risk-related data from internal or external resources on sector, topical and emerging issues and prepare reports/presentations as required.
• As and when required, produce reports or presentations that outline findings, explain risk positions or recommend risk mitigation action plan.
• Conduct quantitative analysis for risk assessment and loss expectancy estimation.
• Interpret new legislation to determine impact on risk exposure.
• Within business planning cycle, determine potential environmental / geopolitical impacts on long-term growth and profitability.
• Periodic monitoring, review, analysis and reporting of performance against business plans/ objectives via approved Balanced Scorecards.
• Work with all functions to develop and maintain business continuity plans.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should possess the following prerequisites:

• Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or Economics.
• At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in risk management, audit or similar control environment.
• Experience in shipping industry or shipping classification societies will be an asset. Otherwise those in research house, airlines or shipping insurance business will be highly regarded too.
• Familiarity with Principles of corporate governance; COSO, ISO31000 etc.
• Familiarity with risk management tools, including setting up risk thresholds, mitigation plans etc.
• Knowledge of Strategy tools and Performance Management tools (e.g. Balanced Scorecard).
• Ability to effectively interpret business environment analysis, industry and market forecasting to generate business insights.
• Good level of competency with Microsoft Office suite (in particular, advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills) is essential.
• Strong analytical and numerical competencies.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
• Ability to network effectively at all levels.
