Job Description

Role: In accordance with the company's vision, the Marketing Manager will develop strategies, implement and manage the marketing plan for the Industrial market in Asia Pacific.He or she will be the driver of optimal profitability of the product group in the region, so as to achieve short term growth and long term business goals.

Responsibilities:
•Formulate a comprehensive marketing plan for Industrial AP region and drive its successful implementation.
•Act as the ‘champion’ for the market segment and it associated product lines within the region and represent the product line at the global level.
•Identify and clearly communicate the company's value proposition for the segments targeted.
•Identify and communicate internally and externally trends impacting the market segment and its sub-segments, and the potential for the company and its target customers to create value
•Develop and publish competitive analysis for the product lines
•Develop and work with the matrix stakeholders to implement an OEM strategy for the region to deliver on technology and marketing goals
•Develop a communication strategy for the region to to deliver technology and marketing goals and ensure that capabilities and value propositions are understood internally and externally.
•Identify and communicate organisational gaps and inefficiencies which may impact the ability to deliver on the marketing plan and work with the regional and global matrix stakeholders to close and resolve.
•Allocate market research, CTS, OEM liaison and supply chain resources to support the achievement of agreed business performance targets
•Development of the Annual Operating Plan /Long Range Plan for the products lines in the region
•Establish and lead cross-functional teams (Value Team) to monitor and develop and implement tactics to achieve profitability targets. Maintain effective communication with other team members to ensure that direction is understood by all and the efforts are co-operative and complementary.
•Work with Sales and CTS to develop targeted value propositions for each AP customer and support the delivery of the value proposition.
•Make pricing decisions which are sensitive to competitive change, market environment, value points of products and customers, inventory levels and internal manufacture and delivery capabilities and which maintain the profitability of the product line capabilities.
•Manage product portfolio in accordance with organisational supply chain capability in order to ensure cost effective business continuity and customer satisfaction.
•Provide Marketing expertise and insights to our targeted customers as per the brand Toolkit.
•Represent the company at Industry Conferences and Forums as required.
•Present business performance reviews as required.
•Represent the Marketing team in corporate or regional activities or initiatives as required by Marketing Director.

Requirements

•Degree in marketing, business or science-related field.
•Min 7-10 years of proven success in a, technical, B2B marketing management role.
•Knowledge of the chemical, petroleum industry or heavy manufacturing/auto industry.
•Excellent English communication skills.
•A strategic thinker with an ability to make sound decisions based on business needs and market trends.
•Ability to lead effectively in a matrix organization.
•Ability to convert marketing plans into doable sales targets.
•Ability to motivate and drive cross-functional teams to deliver goals and projects.
•Ability to work under pressure to achieve business goals.
•Possesses excellent presentations skills and has an ability to influence and get buy-in from stakeholders.
