Job Description

• Working within the R&D team, the candidate will be required to interface with a multi-disciplinary engineering team and oversee designers/drafters to provide results against agreed technical objectives and development timelines.
• This position will also require interface with customers and 3rd party companies, effective communication and presentation skills will be required.
• Position will require a competent individual capable of undertaking tree concept design, detail design, as well as verification of design via calculations/FEA, and validation testing in a lab environment.
• Candidate will need to be familiar with 2D/3D CAD software and comfortable developing concept and detailed engineering layouts.
• Will be required to develop design specifications, detailed equipment layouts, test fixture layouts, design calculation packages, test procedures, and test reports.
• Candidate will need to be able to effectively work with others and delegate work appropriately to maintain effective use of team members.
• Capable of reviewing and approving detailed designs, manufacturing drawings generated by others and providing feedback to improve designs as needed.
• Attend project meetings and provide update on status and critical issues within his/her team.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline from a recognized university.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an engineer with in depth experience in the design and operation of subsea vertical and/or horizontal jumper systems.
• Must have experience working for a major subsea equipment supplier, significant experience with subsea jumper connectors, piping systems, and associated installation/fabrication tooling is required.
• Experience with rigid/flexible systems as well as vertical/horizontal preferred.
• Prior experience in new product development and/or R&D qualification activities to API requirements is preferred.
• General knowledge of materials, including welding and heat treatment is required.
• Familiarity in design and analysis requirements required for HPHT equipment per API TR8, API TR PER15K, and other relevant documents.
