Job Description
Job Title: System Engineer
• Install, setup and do preventive maintenance on Sparc or X86 servers
• Install, upgrade and administer Unix Operating systems such as Red Hat Linux or Solaris.
• Install, upgrade and configure Solaris Cluster.
• Provide documentation support such as for design and operational manuals.
• Troubleshoot HW, OS and Cluster issues.
• Perform preventive and proactive maintenance such as OS/Cluster patching and OS/cluster upgrades
• Escalate and manage incidents.

• Minimum Diploma
• Minimum 2-3 years working experience in IT / Systems Integration Environment.
• 2-3 Years’ hands on experience in Solaris Operating systems such as Solaris 10 or 11.
• 2-3 Years’ hands on experience in Solaris Cluster 3.x or 4.x.
• Preferable if Certified as Solaris Systems administrator or Solaris Cluster administrator.
• Experience in scripting (Perl and Shell)
• Experience in Oracle Hardware (Sparc and X86 Servers)
• Knowledge and experience of other Unix flavours such as RHEL or CentOS would be an added advantage.
• Able to work on weekends and after office hours.
