Job Description
-Deliver technical solutions for medium or large size engineering projects releated to pump product and systems.
-Produce engineering drawings and specifications for components, product and mechanical designs liaising with internal and external customers throughout the development and approval process.
-Ensure quality and accuracy of product master data in th ERP system in relation to updates required by sales, purchasing, productions and aftermarket teams.
-Deliver technical support to customers through solution engineering, and product improvements with Engineering and other stakeholders.
-Prepare and maintain product data books, instruction and operations manuals.
-Ensure that product and / or solution quality, reliability and functionality are achieved. Actively participate in product improvement or development projects.
-Collaborate harmoniously and proactively with Operations, Marketing, Purchasing, Production, Sales and Management to achieve operational excellence.
-Coordinate and consult with other team members on design or detail components.
-Drive and report project status and results with sufficient conclusions and recommendations.
-Identify, mitigate, monitor and report risks in own area of responsibility.
-Other tasks and special projects assigned.
Requirements
-Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
-5 - 10 years of experience in pump product development related to marine applications such as enginer room pumps, and pump room systems.
-Good understanding of centrifugal pumps and pumping systems.
-Skilled in mechanical design involving steel, stainless steel, bronze, aluminium and casting is required.
-Software requirements: AutoCAD, NX 3D CAD, Teamcentre PDM, MS Office applications.
-Enterprise Software requirements: Jeeves, SAP.
-Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Additional Information
-Experience in product design of (centrifugal) pumps and pumping systems.
-Skills in AutoCAD, NX3 CAD, Teamcentre PDM, SAP, Jeeves.
-Working Location: West (Tuas)
