Our Client:
Our client is one of the world’s leading independent international ship managers with offices and agents worldwide. Currently they are looking for a well experienced Technical Superintendent to join their progressive team.
In this role of a Technical Superintendent (Dry Bulk), the incumbent will play a pivotal role in the following areas:
• Daily Operations
• Shipboard inspection
• Oil Major/CDI & Other commercial inspections
• Incident/Accident/Crisis management & investigations
• Port, Flag State Inspections & Other Statutory Audits (ISM/ISPS)
• ISSEQ
• Crewing
• Dry Docking & Repairs
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following prerequisites:
• Certificate of Competency (Class 1) / Chief Engineer Foreign Going in Dry Bulk and relevant shore experience with strong technical background as Fleet Superintendent
• Sound knowledge of shipping industry on dry bulk business, with emphasis on vessel technical management
• Ability to administer technical and budgetary requirements
• Good knowledge of SMS and PMS system
• Good people management skills
• Good negotiation and influencing skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
