Our Client:
Our client is a leading chemical manufacturing company.
The Role:
* Responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of electrical & instrument equipment, safety instrumented systems and lead the implementation of SHE programs to meet local and corporate requirement
* Management of the asset life plans for the plant electrical and instrument control system
* Lead the effort in troubleshooting, identification of root causes and its resolution in the following area:
o Instrument and electrical equipment
o Plant control systems e.g DCS, SIS, F&G, SCADA
* Review electrical and instrument maintenance procedure, PPM and job plan to ensure safe and effective execution of work, identify area/needs for improvement/ development
* Provide training and guidance to maintenance technicians and contractors
* Review plant electrical and instrument equipment performance for development and implementation of long term maintenance activities in areas of reliability centered maintenance, preventive maintenance strategy and maintenance cost improvement efforts
* Review and assess I/E term contracts and contractors' site performance to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of revenue contracts as well as SHE compliance to local and company requirement
* Review plant IE spare part strategy and manage plant IE spare parts stock in meeting plant IE equipment reliability and business requirement with cost effective
* Review and optimize CMMS setup for plant I/E installation to ensure its effectiveness
The Requirements:
* Degree in Instrument or Electrical engineering from a recognized tertiary institution
* Minimum of 5 years of engineering and maintenance experience in the related industry (chemicals preferable)
* Familiar with operations and maintenance of basic plant control systems in DCS, safety instrumented systems, fire & gas alarm system and SCADA system, familiar with Emerson and ABB equipment and systems would be an advantage
* Maintenance and troubleshooting experience with good analytic skills in the I/E field in Chemical Plant
* Good understanding of International and local I/E standards for maintenance, design, installation, inspection and repair
* Possess good understanding SHE knowledge in process, maintenance work, equipment and tool safety
* Good interpersonal and communication skills, interacting effectively with all levels in the organization as well as with contractors
