Our Client:
Our client, a global MNC in the Machinery and equipment business is hiring. We are looking for a well experienced Procurement & Sourcing Professional to fulfil the above role. Reporting to the Global Head of Procurement, the successful incumbent will be tasked to lead a team and drive sourcing and procurement strategies to ensure meeting company's objectives and procurement excellence.
Job Description
* Manage and lead an internal sourcing team to develop and implement sourcing and procurement strategies
* Responsible to lead end to end tender process which is not limited to analysing of Suppliers data as well as RFQ and RFP to ensure potential suppliers providing competitive pricing and meeting qualifying criteria
* Good engagement and communication with the Aftermarket Products marketing team to have good understanding of the market demands and sentiments,
* Supplier negotiation - Build good rapport and relationship with suppliers to ensure long term agreements are established and goals are aligned
* Supplier management and performance - Enforce key metrics to measure performance and to ensure appointed suppliers are delivering quality products and meeting timely delivery
* Follow up on shipment and provide status on delivery
Requirements
*Minimum 6 years of relevant Suppliers management and strategic procurement experience in an MNC platform
*Prior supervisory and people management experience leading a small team
*Strong negotiation and sourcing skills
*Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business.
*Flexibility to travel for business at 25% to APAC countries
*Proficient in MS Office application ie Word, Excel and Powerpoint and skilled in SAP application
