Job Description
We are currently looking for a Logistics Manager to:
1) Compliance-related issues:
Export control
* General understanding of the list controls of Singapore and Malaysia.
* An added advantage if candidate also has a general understanding of the list controls of Philippines and Thailand.
* Monitoring of the list of Regulations and Sanctions.
Export License management
* Management of the export licenses of Singapore and Malaysia.
* Management of the re-export license of US.
Export & import Pricing and HTS management
* General understanding of HTS code.
* Understanding of incoterms, pricing, declaration.
* Difference between Assy and Kit declaration.
Audit
* Correspondences relating to the audit of import and export matters.
Dangerous goods
* General understanding of IATA regulations.
2) Operation related issues:
Territories
* Singapore and Malaysia.
* Minimal operations in Philippines and Thailand.
Workflow
* Capability to assess and refine workflow to ensure that controls are compliant.
* General understanding of IT structure.
Forwarder management, logistics arrangement
* Familiar with the quality and price controls.
* Accident management and corrective actions.
* General understanding of Logistics operations
Warehouse (3PL) / Inventory management
* Familiar with the inbound and outbound warehouse operations.
* Quality control, discrepancy and error management.
* 3PL (Warehouse) management.
Requirements
Our client needs someone with the following skills:
*Minimally, a Bachelor's degree in Business / Supply Chain Management / Logistics or its equivalent.
*Experience within the Supply Chain, Transportation, Warehousing or Logistics industry.
*Experience in using and implementing transportation management or warehouse management systems.
*Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
*High motivation to learn, with perseverance and strong desire to deliver results.
*Able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
*Candidate with more relevant years of experience shall be accorded a more senior position.
