Our client is one of the growing MNC specializing in chemical products. Based in Japan, they have been operating in Singapore for over 20 years and expanding their business all over the world. They are looking for Business Specialist reporting to Sales & Marketing Manager, to join their team.
We are currently looking for a Business Specialist to:
(a) Sales and associated business
Business specialist shall follow up given customers for performance polymers product lines. It is required to negotiate the price, delivery time and counter for claim and complain with consultant from other members. Report line to Regional Sales & Marketing Manager and consult with the manager about business strategy, development and issues.
(b) Market research
Business specialist shall conduct market research for performance polymers product lines. It is required to map out the research as well with support the company. We expect to expand the market with not only customers in existence but new customers, industries/regions and countries we can apply our products, new applications we may seek for.
(c) Making proposal and cooperation with the parent company
Sales specialist shall have good communication with the parent company, to contribute the parent company's compiling their strategy for the products and seeking for the target for research and development.
(d) During the continuance of this agreement, you shall devote the whole of your time to the business of the Company and shall use your best endeavours to discharge your duties.
(e) You will be required to carry out such duties and job functions as may be assigned to you from time to time by the Company or persons acting on behalf of the Company, and you may be required to be transferred from one Section / Department to another at the sole discretion of the Company.
Our client needs someone with the following skills:
Required skill and experience:
-Experience in overseas Sales activities for 3-5 years minimum, preferably in Asia Pacific region.
-Ability to work both independently and in terms respecting teamwork.
-Ability to adapt the Company's culture.
Preferred skill & experience:
-Experience in Japanese company.
-Experience in Chemical industry.
-Ability to speak Japanese as position needs to communicate with Japan HQ and Japanese customers.
