Our client is a Japanese Manufacturing company that produces household condiments.
We are currently looking for a Laboratory Leader to:
* In charge of laboratory and assist others with and perform lab techniques.
* Work closely with team members to provide effective solutions to support and quality objectives.
* Facilitate effective communication across internal departments.
* Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and schedule.
* Establish and improve procedures and processes by addressing issues and risks.
* Ensure all production sections are working correctly (e.g. seed mold, koji quality, fermentation, final products) .
* Ensure the lab establishes and maintains a calibration program for testing equipment that affect quality results.
* Ensure that environmental requirements are in compliance with all government.
* Assist and supervise various projects.
* Receiving, label and analyze samples for production (Raw material, Intermediate products, final products etc.).
* Designing and executing laboratory testing according standard procedures.
* Conducting experiments under defined conditions to verify/reject various types of hypotheses using refined scientific methods.
* Register analysis values and judge (in production database system).
* Forwards available inventory items by verifying stock; scheduling delivery.
* Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items.
* Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders.
Our client needs someone with the following skills:
*Minimum 5 years' experience as Lab Technician or relevant position.
*Experience in operating food, chemical or Pharmaceutical products etc. hygienically.
*Report to work on time and as scheduled.
*Willing to work in varying degrees of temperature (heated or air conditioned).
*Willing to work on weekends (6 day work week).
*Willing to work beyond appointed hours to complete work when required.
