Our client is a leading multi-national conglomerate with diverse & varied businesses covering a wide spectrum of industry sectors including; Agriculture, Commodities Trading & Processing, Petrochemical, Shipping, Manufacturing, Financial & Shipping Services to markets & businesses across the world generating revenues in excess of $100 billion p/a.

We are currently partnering with them to identify some of the best minds in Corporate Strategy to join their Corporate Strategy & Development team with a view to pursuing a rich & rewarding career helping them grow & develop an ever more sustainable & ethical business focused on increasing their Regional & Global market penetration whilst improving the long term environmental impact of their businesses.

We are looking for talented individuals keen to pursue a career in Strategy where you will be afforded the opportunity to work closely with the Business Unit leadership team gaining wide ranging exposure to all their main business functions, develop impactful analysis & strategies and gain first hand feedback on the success of the implementation of your insights. As a result your success or failure in the role will be largely dependent on the success & failure of your Strategy work with your performance measured by the successful implementation of your projects.

In return the in-depth knowledge gained of the company's wide ranging Business Operations will afford the successful candidates with continuous professional development & will provide a range of career paths, either continuing on in Corporate Strategy or a move into a Senior Leadership role within the business (BD / Marketing, Product Line / Sales, Operations / P&L role) depending on your strengths & previous experience.

Typical Projects:

* New Product / Go to Market Strategy:

* Tailored to local customers / markets for Asia
* Partnering strategies for local companies (inc Supply Chain)
* Local market / company competitor analysis / strategies

* Product Innovation:

* Flexible / multi product / more adaptable strategies tailored for needs of Asian market place
* Asia markets require strong Product Innovation to cater to local tastes, more frequent new product launches / innovation strategies than have for Western markets

* Trend Analysis & Strategy

* Assess leading edge trends in the market, look to stay ahead of the curve & play trends to the benefit of the business

* Business Model / Value Chain Assessment & Analysis:

* Look at existing Business Models / alternative Business models, which model likely to provide better performance. Eg do themselves / outsource / partner
* Change position on Value Chain

* Corporate Development projects

* Including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint-ventures

What you'll need to succeed:

* You'll ideally possess Strategy focused advisory experiences, in particular with strengths in; Growth / BD Strategy - New Market / Go to Market Strategy - New Products / Product Innovation - Market Segmentation / Product Segmentation.
* Strong team player and an ability to lead teams across diverse backgrounds and ability to work with other teams across functions and businesses on deals
* Degree / MBA qualified from a reputable university
