Our Client:
Our client is an US-based specialty chemicals manufacturing company.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Technical Manager, the candidate will be accountable for the following:
* Lead/Participate in review of process and operations (through process safety management) to enhance process safety
* Support daily operations to ensure yield target are met, energy consumption is optimized, asset availability is improved
* Routinely review the plant performance and identify plant-wide improvement and cost reduction programs
* Conduct process capability study, identify the bottleneck and develop action plan to resolve the issue
* Lead in product development, transfer of process technology/ commercialized process from other sites to this plant
* Provide project teams with process engineering support, including commissioning
* Evaluate performance of process equipment and control systems; as well as conduct optimization studies to improve product quality, yield, utilities consumption, cost and production capability
Requirements:
* Degree in Chemical Engineering
* Minimum 3 years of relevant experience working in a process manufacturing environment
* Meticulous and possesses good analytical and critical thinking skills
* Good initiative and able to work independently
* Good team player, able to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
