Our client is one of the glowing Japanese MNC into Chemical manufacturing. They are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join their expanding team in Singapore.

Job description

* To help customers in troubleshooting, investigate and resolve technical problems that arise (compounding and testing method, production process)

* Focus on customer needs.

* Establish and maintain ongoing positive relationships with customers

* Formulation development

* Watch competitor's Intellectual property

* Will be the main contact person that required working closely with technical support laboratory within the Corporate Group.

* Oversee and co-ordinate Laboratory activities in Technical Department.

* To work closely with the Laboratory Technicians, to assist, advise and checking on their data sheets description upon their submission.

* Required to operate in house machinery (Training will be provided)

* Improve the effectiveness of the Company's internal systems

* Measure physical properties

* Build up process know-how capabilities in-house

* Required to travel, mainly to SE Asia and India to attend trial and meeting with customers, attend exhibition (Frequency: twice a month)

Requirements

*Degree in Bachelor for Polymer Science or Chemical Process Engineering is highly preferred.
*Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience
*Must have excel, words, PowerPoint and data handling software skills as this role involved data handling.
*Good communications and collaboration within Corporate Group and Customers
*Decision-making capabilities and Problem-solving skills in terms of technical issues
*Good leadership skills
