Job Description
Our Client:
Our client is an operator of tank terminals for Oil, Chemicals and Petrochemicals.
This role will be on a 1 year fixed term contract, and will be eligible to receive company benefits.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out maintenance activities and respond to equipment faults
* Diagnose breakdown problems
* Fit new equipment and ensure it is working correctly
* Carry out quality inspections on jobs
* Liaise with client departments, customers and other engineering and operations
* Control maintenance tools, stores, equipment and costs
* Provide support during emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
* Participate and uphold health and safety policies and procedures
* Support in creating maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines
* Ensure continuous operation of machinery and equipment, as well as contingent plans in case of breakdowns
Requirements:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent
* 3 - 5 years of work experience in maintenance for process industries (petrochemical, refineries, oil and gas)
* A Team player who is able to work cooperatively and liaise with people at all levels
* Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills
* Ability to respond effectively when under pressure
