Job Description
Our Client:
RGF has been approached by a well-known well-established General Insurance company who have presence in more than 40 countries globally. Currently, they are looking for an Assistant Finance Manager, Reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
* HO and MAS reporting, ensuring compliance with HO and MAS regulatory requirements and overall consolidation of statutory returns under core insurance systems
* Ensure actuarial adjustments are put through on timely basis
* Provision of information to HOD/actuary to facilitate MAS stress testing and actuarial reserving exercises
* Reporting of surveys to regulatory bodies
* Investment reporting, analysis and monitoring
* Settlement of reinsurance accounts
* Ensure smooth closing of Oracle/Core insurance systems on monthly basis
* Month-end reconciliation between sub-ledger and GL control accounts
* Assist in the implementation and monitoring of financial and internal controls
* Assist in supervision of finance staff
* Undertake any other duties as may be assigned
The Requirements:
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Good analytical skills
* Adequate knowledge of insurance laws/guidelines and International Financial Reporting Standards
* Good appreciation of financial accounting/internal controls
