Job Description

Our Client:

Our client is an MNC oilfield equipment manufacturing company.

The Responsibilities:

* Candidate will be required interdependently drive their assigned tasks forward to completion against agreed technical objectives and timelines
* Position will require competent engineer capable of independently managing concept and detailed layouts for new products, verification of design via classical engineering calculations and Solidworks simulations, generation of manufacturing drawings, generation of test fixtures for products qualification, and overseeing validation testing in lab environment. Candidate will be requested to demonstrate these competencies during the interview process
* Candidate will be expected to have in depth knowledge in at least one key area related to subsea or surface wellhead, tree, or valve product lines. Prior product development and qualification experience highly preferred
* Candidate must be capable of conducting design reviews per company procedures
* This position will at times interface with 3rd party companies. Effective internal and external communication and presentation skills will be required
* Position will be required to provide engineering support to manufacturing for items related to their design (e.g. non-conformance disposition, engineering waivers, etc)

The Requirements:

* Bachelor Degree in mechanical engineering required
* A minimum of 5 years experience in subsea or surface O&G drilling/production equipment including wellheads, trees, valves, etc.
* Previous experience with major oil & gas equipment supplier required
* Candidate's prior work history needs to demonstrate extensive design and engineering experience and a competent understanding of industry standards and there application towards oil and gas equipment. Candidate must have familiarity with API 6A and 17D
* Candidate will need to be familiar with 2D/3D CAD software, preferably Solidworks, and be capable of developing component and assembly models and manufacturing drawings in this software
* Must have competent engineering background to be able to develop calculation packages as required per the design and industry standards
