Linux engineer

The client is looking for Japanese speaking Linux engineer who can support our Japanese FSI client's Linux based systems. This is a full-time position within their organization on their client site in Changi, Singapore.

Administrating and maintaining server infrastructure including below works o Program inventory management

o Log-in term check out management

o Library management

o Q&A from HO or development team

o Investigation of effect

o License management

o Reboot operations

o ID inventory management

o Systems monitoring, Failure operations

* Performing resource monitoring, performance tuning, and scaling of infrastructure with system/application rollouts and security design

* Implementing solutions based on customer and business needs

* Maintaining and supporting a mix of vendor equipment including Linux, Windows Server VMware, CA and Hitachi

* Providing technical expertise needed to resolve technical issues

* Good communication skill in Japanese language (speaking, writing and reading)
* 3-5 years of prior work experience administering and maintaining Linux Systems
* Demonstrated knowledge of multiple technology areas including Redhat operating systems, VMware, syslog, tripwire and shell scripting
* Experience with Windows 2008R2 / 2012
* Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skills
* Positive attitude and good communication skills across all levels of the organization, customer oriented
* Willingness to load share daily system administrative tasks
* Flexibility to provide support during off hours
* Excellent project and time management skills; proven ability to function as team member for multiple simultaneous activities
* Experience with IA servers, SAN technologies, Load balancer, ID Mgt software, Monitoring software
* Basic networking background including Cisco network equipment
* Database technologies such as Oracle and SQL server.
