Job Description

Manager, Data Analytics & Administration

The Responsibilities:

* Together with the Head of Data Analytic and Administration, Taiwan & Southeast Asia markets, manage a team and provide mentoring to team members in building and maintaining the administration systems, procedures, and documentation to successfully administer business
* Continuously review and refine current processes and identify opportunities for quick wins to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency
* Transform a business need to system specifications and facilitate the communication with other IT/system stakeholders to ensure that the functionality of the administration systems will address the business needs
* Take the initiative or support to investigate and develop new automation tools by using SQL/VBA/Python
* Assist in building and executing the data strategy and plan. This will include capability and roadmap development as well as identify areas of priority

* Ensure that the data is accurate for input to accounting records, valuation systems, regulatory returns and other required information for both business and financial reporting purposes and all data management processes and standards are in accordance with divisional and corporate standards
* Perform data mining and analytics to support ongoing continuous risk monitoring and risk assessments of operational or financial data to recognize patterns and trends and facilitate and provide financial analytics on pricing and product profitability

* Collaborate with another manager to lead the documentation and implementation of dedicated Southeast Asia Administration Process

The Requirements:

* University degree in mathematics, statistics, information technology, or other related disciplines
* 6+ years working experience and 1+ years of related work experience in life insurance/reinsurance is a plus
* Adequate SQL and programming experience preferable on VBA/Python
* Client focused and a self-starter, driven in pursuit of targets
* Autonomy, accuracy, attention to details and good organizational skills
* A positive attitude to dealing with people, shares openly and willingly, demonstrates cooperation and flexibility
* Ability to create process and workflow models and facilitate business discussions
* Understand how key risks and controls impact the business from an operational, accounting, and/or systems perspective
