Our client is a shipping company. They are continuing to e xpand their business and acqui ring new vessels
to run their operations smoothly They moved to a larger office premises few years ago due to the rapid
business expansion and to accommodate the increase in staff numb ers.
We are currently looking for an Operation Assistant Manager to be responsible for
a) Coordinate with ships' Master, charterers, ship owners, managers and port agents for smooth
voyage,effective entry to ports, and loading/unloading of cargo
b) Arrange bunker s for vessels by selecting bunker supplier through open tend er
c) Check and handle ship and cargo documents to ensure smooth operations
d) Timely and accurate Input of voyage data in IMO Soperations software
e) Check operation data inputted into IMOS for accuracy and completeness in preparation for monthly voyage
financial report by Accounts Team
f) Checkand verify vendor invoices and co ordinate payment schedules with accounting staff to ensure timely
settlement
g) Collection of freight and other receivables on a timely basis with close follow up on over due receivables
h) Maintain good working relationship with our business partners
i)Over all co ordination and supervision of operations responsibilities and work flow in the operation team
j) Coordinate and liaise with business partner 's operations team on all matters relating to vessel and cargooperations
k) Assist in collecting and providing data about ships and ports and the LPG Tanker market generally forManagementRequirements
Our client needs someone with the following skills:
a) Experience of Tanker operations (especially LPG tanker operations)
b) Good oral communication skills in Englis
h and Chinese and good writing skills , especially in English
c) Good working knowledge of MS Office applications
d) Good working knowledge and experience in ship operations and chartering software (especially IMOS
software)
e) Excellent inter-personal skills and is a team player
f) University Degree holder or relevant Diploma from Polytechnics
