Our Client:
Our client is a well-known company in the wholesale electricity market. It is the financial exchange for electricity trading, environment and governance for the market.
The Responsibilities:
* Project coordination for the Forward Capacity Market and Review/Rolling-out Market Rules
* Lead or assist in RCP Workplan Rule Changes and directed projects
* Ensure that recommendations made on market design and rule changes to have an efficient and competitive electricity industry in Singapore
* Influence market design so that it is positioned to maximise its contribution to the success of the energy market, including, economic, policy, regulatory, and technological markets
* Critically analyse the NEMS to identify areas of inefficiency and initiate improvements to the market to reduce or eliminate these areas
* Promote the creation of strategic opportunities and develop proposals in consultation with key industry and stakeholders
The Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Economics or equivalent
* Minimum 8 years of experience in the National Electricity Market of Singapore (NEMS) with strong knowledge of design and drafting of wholesale electricity market rules
* Strong Knowledge of and interest in energy markets at both operational and policy level for gas, electricity and emerging energy related markets
* Knowledge of Gas Industry/Market would be an added advantage
* Well-developed analytical skills including innovative problem solving and influencing skills
* Attention to details and the ability to identify and investigate matters requiring analysis whilst developing and maintaining good working relationships with industry stakeholders
