About our client:

Our client is a leading financial technology firm in the region, with strong foothold in the Southeast Asian market. With major support from some of the world's key venture capital firms, the company is putting more focus in growing its SEA market further. They are experiencing organizational growth for the foreseeable future, and at the moment they are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Head to join this dynamic firm.

Job Description:

As the Quality Assurance Head, you will come with strong background in full stack engineering. You will be responsible for development a quality strategy that addresses all phases of product development, as well as governance frameworks for managing quality and test automation. As the company is having its own proprietary-scoring model, you will need to build strong features and algorithms to support their UIs.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

* Managing the QA Engineering team by monitoring and improving their work and strategy.

* Reviewing quality management policies and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and international standards.

* Strategize the approaches and procedures in the identification, selection and assessment of quality standards for adoption, documentation for test reporting, and review of quality standards.

* Establishing strategy and roadmap for automation frameworks; including the deliverables and development release cycles.

* Design, code and implement automated framework and tests for web and API applications

* Guiding and providing technical inputs on approaches and conduct of quality testing, and recommend solutions to resolve significant quality lapses.

* Ensuring the team is able to maintain the highest level of quality assurance; reviewing quality test reports and outcomes to approve product.

* Setting the high standard for improvement works when quality lapses occur; conduct system performance testing to ensure system reliability, capacity and scalability.

* Able to be hands-on when required in guiding the team on the best practices on functional and UI testing of features

The Successful Applicant

We invite an experienced Quality Assurance leader (director, head, lead) to join this dynamic firm, with a keen eye for improvement and making impact regionally. To be successful you must come with:

* Ability to be upfront, straight forward, and grit personality to drive team members.

* Ideally 10+ years of solid successful track record of managing the organization's quality strategy

* Ideally 5+ of experience in managing a team and successfully scaling a QA team

* Strong ability to lead and develop best quality standards

* Strong experience in performing technical quality (manual and automated) testing; and optimize the quality process. Strong familiarity with software automated testing.

* Able to drive strategy implementation as well as changes, maintain cohesive team collaboration, and positive social communicator.

* An entrepreneurial spirit that is flexible, experimental, and resourceful

* Modern, energetic, self-starter, display initiative and proposes pragmatic new ideas / approaches
