Our Client And The Role:
Our client is a multinational company that specializes developing, manufacturing and servicing of mechanical equipment used in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical plants.
The candidate will be responsible to manage short and long-term success of Thailand and Vietnam's Tower Field Services (Static Equipment), which covers columns, towers, reactors, piping, heat exchangers, etc in its Service Centre in Rayong, Thailand.
The Responsibilities:
* Achieves growth and profitability targets of Tower Field Services . Responsible for for the Profit and Loss of the business that covers Thailand/Vietnam
* Ensures efficient organization and management across the Thailand/Vietnam area to secure comprehensive market coverage and customer relations
* Maintaining personal contact to important customers
* Preparation of mid-range plans and yearly budgets
* Ensure permanent observation and analysis of the markets; Decision on required strategy for the service jobs, regionally
* Promotion of team work amongst the teams in APAC, other subsidiaries within the area
* Develop new service locations in the region, providing local services as applicable and directed by Regional / global Business unit management
* Implement new service lines as directed
* Ensure a system of flexible and optimized usage of human resources (e.g. project managers, superintendents and field service staff); maintaining personal contact with key HR suppliers
* Ensure monthly management reporting in line with requirements; preparation of monthly MIS
* Ensure updated economical and effective information technology and systems
* Enforce standards according to ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 standards
* Ensure focus in motivation, development and maintaining a personnel strategy of employees, organization and continuity in key functions
The Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Additional qualification in business/project management desirable
* Experience in management of businesses relating to the installation of tower internals and maintenance of static equipment for columns, towers, reactors, piping, heat exchanges etc., in Oil, Gas and Petrochemical industries
* Sound understanding of business development, general tender conditions in construction contracts, estimation process, negotiation with customers and post order fulfillment relating to installation and maintenance services in the Oil, Gas and Petrochemical industries
* Excellent project management capabilities and resource management skills are a prerequisite
* A self-starter with ability to effectively respond to demands of a challenging work load and deadlines is preferred
* Exposure to confined space safety and quality management an added advantage
* Ability to motivate and challenge direct reports and give direction to the whole organization
* Work to be based in Rayong, Thailand
