Our client is a start-up company with Singapore as the regional HQ. They are working on exciting technologies like automation and artificial intelligence (AI). They are building a platform which heavily utilizes data and technology to disrupt the customer service industry in South East Asia. With its active 20 million users in the region, they are looking to consolidate their offerings better in the market they service.
Job Description:
This role will report to the VP Engineering of the company, and you will be responsible in scaling up the local team in Indonesia. This Cloud Infrastructure Lead will be responsible in establishing the organization's overall cloud infrastructure strategy and roadmap to transition the organization towards its future state cloud infrastructure. You will need to deliver guidance on the development of cloud infrastructure standards and governance policies and processes for operations, as well as capabilities and constraints of the cloud infrastructure environment.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Establishing and scaling the cloud infrastructure team; including DevOps Engineers.
* Establishing governance policies, standards, procedures and guidelines to ensure that cloud infrastructure architecture, solutions, and technologies are aligned with the organization's vision and strategy.
* Experienced in managing strong partnership with key stakeholders from a strategic and operational perspective to ensure alignment with business requirements and expectations.
* Managing three key objectives: Infrastructure Implementation Services, Infrastructure Solutions Deployment, and Infrastructure Service Management.
* Familiar with enterprise architecture methodologies and frameworks, architecture modelling tools, as well as product development methodologies.
* Familiar with Cloud Engineering, Architecture Strategy and Planning, especially for GCP and AWS Cloud, and Kubernetes. Familiar with various cloud, network, storage and security technologies, as well as cloud computing models and services.
* Familiar with the use of automation tools like cloud formation, Terraform to automate the process. Ability to make infra as a code so that they can be consumed by CI/CD.
* An influential leader with a broad sense of perspective to be able to drive decisions with key internal and external stakeholders. You will need to be strategic in your approach to managing resources and developing capabilities within the team.
The Successful Applicant
We invite an experienced Cloud Infrastructure leader to join this start-up firm, with a keen eye for improvement and making impact in the region. Ideal languages would be: Kubernetes, GCP / AWS, Terraform, monitoring logging, Linux administration. To be successful you must come with:
* Certified GCP or AWS professional.
* Ability to be upfront, straight forward, and grit personality to establish and scale the cloud infrastructure team.
* 8+ years leadership and people managerial (DevOps team) experience in software/product development and handling large scale (enterprise) with moderately complex IT architecture
* Proven experience in establishing cloud infrastructure strategy and design: exposure in a fully cloud-based infrastructure (IAAS) environment. Proven experience in SaaS industry and solutions.
* Experience in EAI (Enterprise Application Integration) including message-brokering, publish-subscribe patterns.
* Career industry experience within the retail / ecommerce industry is an advantage.
* Ability to manage cloud infrastructure implementation and optimization, as well as establishing and overseeing standards and governance.
* Strong eye in identifying gaps and push out solutions to close identified process gaps.
* Proactive personality and attitude when collaborating.
* Maintain cohesive team collaboration, and positive social communicator.

* Modern, energetic, self-starter, display initiative and proposes pragmatic new ideas / approaches
