About our client:
Our client is a start-up company with Singapore as the regional HQ. They are working on exciting technologies like automation and artificial intelligence (AI). They are building a platform which heavily utilizes data and technology to disrupt the customer service industry in South East Asia. With its active 20 million users in the region, they are looking to consolidate their offerings better in the market they service.
Job Description:
This role will report to the Team Lead in Jakarta. This Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the design and implementation of communication platform build, release, deployment and configuration activities. You will be a team member for the agile development process. You will be responsible for their automated deployments, making sure for the highest reliability and scalability of their services. You will build the continuous integration and continuous deployment pipeline and prioritizes development items in the pipeline as well. You will be part of a team that manages their cloud platform infrastructure.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Managing the communication platform: complete evaluation of the software application and tools for the development team, and developing the suitable application and tools.
* Designing cloud solutions that ensure most sustainable, flexible and cost appropriate solutions & technology platforms.
* Supporting the development of complex enterprise architectures for computing architecture, architecture reviews, and selection efforts.
* Determining solutions to problems that disrupt availability, performance, and stability. You will need to do continuous deployment based on user needs and feedback, continuously integrates code changes, and conducts various automated testing to ensure the software application remains functional.
* Determining specifications and features for the next iteration of its development: performing continuous deployment through automating the deployment process, and manages the releases of software application versions and features.
* Utilizing automation tools like cloud formation, Terraform to automate the process. At the same time, make infra as a code so that they can be consumed by CI/CD.
* Managing three work objectives in : Infrastructure Implementation Services, Infrastructure Solutions Deployment, and Infrastructure Service Management.
The Successful Applicant
We invite an experienced DevOps to join this start-up firm, with a keen eye for improvement and making impact in the region. Ideal languages would be: Kubernetes, GCP / AWS, Terraform, monitoring logging, Linux administration. To be successful you must come with:
* 5+ years of experience in software/product development and handling large scale (enterprise) with moderately complex IT architecture
* Knowledge in Kubernetes and being hands-on: ability to create cloud architecture from scratch across any cloud platform, AWS / GCP.
* Proven experience in establishing cloud infrastructure strategy and design: exposure in a fully cloud-based infrastructure (IAAS) environment. Proven experience in SaaS industry and solutions.
* Experience in EAI (Enterprise Application Integration) including message-brokering, publish-subscribe patterns.
* Career industry experience within the retail / ecommerce industry is an advantage.
* Ability to manage cloud infrastructure implementation and optimization, as well as establishing and overseeing standards and governance.
* CKA Certification is an advantage.
* Strong eye in identifying gaps and push out solutions to close identified process gaps.
* Proactive personality and attitude when collaborating.
