Our Client:
Our client is one of the largest Japanese trading firms in Japan and their APAC HQ is looking for the Regal Counsel at the Regal Department in this HQ.
The Responsibilities:
This is a vital role as you will be introducing and implementing the company's legal structure from it's headquarter to Singapore, and also across APAC. As a regal counsel based in Singapore, you will be responsible in:
* Reviewing and drafting sales & purchase agreements, commercial contracts, business tenders, vendor services agreements and other related documents in compliance with the company's global policy
* Act as an advisor to advice internal stakeholders on legal matters
* Be involved in meetings to propose amendments, highlight and recommend solutions in relation to contractual issues, legal and commercial risks to the business proposal teams
* Participate in negotiations with the business proposal teams to render appropriate legal / corporate advices while minimizing company's business risk
The Requirements:
* Ideal candidate must be Singapore Bar, Japan Bar , US Bar or UK Bar qualified, with 5 - 10 years' PQE gained in the corporate department of a leading law firm or commercial sector
* Possess a strong interpersonal and communication skills to convey your practical and business focused legal analysis to your colleagues across other business units
* Japanese speaking candidate is advantage for the role to deal with Native Japanese speaking stakeholders
