Our Client:

Our client is an MNC that develops and manufactures analytical test instruments.

The Responsibilities:

In this role, you will act as an expert and functional lead to drive packaging and labelling strategies, including streamlining of work processes and ensuring its alignment with best practices.

* Lead global packaging projects, including development and improvement to meet Customer, Company, and compliance needs for new and existing products
* Work closely with various sites, design centres, regulatory, trade compliance to understand labelling requirement
* Identify areas of opportunities / improvement such as lower packaging cost, transport worthy designs and using sustainable packaging materials
* Oversee packaging process changes, including labels specifications and packaging related content
* Create and execute test methods, validations, and protocols for packaging related developments and projects
* Create related SOP's, Work Instructions to standardise product labelling
* Provides training for appropriate personnel performing packaging & labelling activities
* Prepares and substantiates capital expenditures for new packaging processes and equipment
* Create bar codes, symbology, and labelling processes when appropriate

The Requirements:

Technical Requirements:

* Degree in Engineering or Packaging Technology field with at least 6 years of relevant experience in packaging development & labelling experience
* Good understanding of packaging materials (e.g material technology, composition, physical & mechanical properties, storage, handling, climate conditions etc)
* Hands-on skills in 3D CAD or SolidWorks software
* Understanding of quality system controls (e.g. FDA & ISO regulations. risk assessment, user needs, design inputs/outputs, verification/validation, etc.)
* Knowledge of ISTA testing
* Good understanding of Physics concepts (e.g stress calculations for compression, torsion, inertia, and impact effects analysis)
* Knowledge of Dangerous Goods/HAZMAT packaging requirements (IATA, UN, etc.) will be a plus
* Project management experience

* Strong attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously
