Job Description

Our Client:

Our client is an MNC that develops and produces specialty chemicals.

The Responsibilities:

* Meet sales targets, realize sales turnover and develop new accounts in Singapore and Malaysia markets for Food and Nutraceutical applications
* Use approved CRM systems to develop and maintain a customer database in the target markets and applications
* Identify new market potentials with existing products; commercialize identified business opportunities
* Implement, coordinate and supervise the regional distribution partners in coordination with the Business Team and Distribution Management
* Collaborate with the Marketing and Business Development teams on sales promotions (for example, for new ingredients and solutions)
* Assist the Business Team in the development of new solutions by defining and analyzing customer needs and opportunities
* Protect the Intellectual Property (IP) for products and solutions where possible
* Evaluate new technologies and support the implementation of new technologies in the target markets
* Manage projects involving in new product applications
* Maintain relevant reporting through the use of CRM, and as relevant for communication within the team and organization

The Requirements:

* Graduate degree, preferably in biochemistry, biotechnology, food chemistry
* 3-5 years of Sales experience in a similar industry (Food Chemicals, Food Ingredients) is preferred, particularly with demonstrable experience in developing new markets for chemical products
* Broad chemical-technical knowledge, particularly markets and products in the areas of responsibility
* Good Computer skills (MS Windows, MS Office, SAP, etc.)
* Ability to work independently, to take initiative, and be self- motivated with strong decision-making capabilities
* Excellent communication, influencing and intercultural skills, able to communicate with colleagues and customers across different backgrounds, nationalities and cultures
* Sound negotiation and customer orientation skills with strong business acumen
* Experience working in a matrix environment within a Multi-national Company is preferred, with the ability to demonstrate cross-functional cooperation (for example with logistics, technical, marketing and customer service colleagues)
