Job Description

Our Client:

Our client is one of the famous shipping company in Singapore. They are continuing to expand their business and acquiring new vessels to run their operations smoothly. They moved to a larger office premises few years ago due to the rapid business expansion and to accommodate the increase in staff numbers.

The Responsibilities:

* Our Client is currently looking for an Accounts Assistant Manager to:
* Prepare month-end financial results as well as management reports
* Prepare month-end close process by preparing/inputting entries related to Accounts Receivable & General Ledger as well as reviewing posting made by Accounts Payable
* Accounts Receivable - Maintains and updates the AR Ledger, monitors aging of freight & demurrage receivable and highlights to Management if provisions of doubtful debts are required
* General Ledger - Maintains and updates the General Ledger, prepare balance sheet schedules and ensures overall upkeep of the accounting system relating to exchange rates, accounting periods and debtors/creditors records
* Audits - prepares all necessary schedules/reports as required by the auditors, attend to their queries and prepare draft audited Financial Statements yearly
* Others - Prepare draft replies to compliance queries from bank, supervise Accounts Payable staff

The Requirements:

* Our Client needs someone with the following skills:
* Candidate must be qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, ACMA, etc) with at least 5 years of relevant experience
* Good written and oral communication skills
* Must be a team player
