Job Description

Our Client:

Our client is one of the top leading Engineering & Construction companies with its Headquarters in Japan. Their Singapore office is looking for a Head of the department of Human Resources as a HR Manager who to manager Singapore HR department.

The Responsibilities:

* Responsible for overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of human resource function in Singapore. Assist in implementation of HR initiatives if required
* Provide HR services and solutions to support business strategies and in the achievement of business objectives
* Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations pertaining to human resources aspects of compliances i.e. policies & procedures, mandatory benefits, compensation, health & safety etc. - recommend and implement such requirements into practice
* Coordinate and also conduct selective new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward Company goals
* Act as performance improvement driver and provokes positive change in people management within the business
* Responsible for timely and accurate payroll management. Administer insurance and personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations
* Identify and analyze training needs (internal & external) - coordinates and administer training programs, assessments & tests (e.g. Caliper Profile when required)
* Suggest appropriate resolution of employee relations issues and responds to inquiries such as providing advice, assistance and guidance on implementation and interpretation of HR policies, procedures and documentation, and co-ordinate resolution of procedural problems and etc.
* Administers programs such as H&S/Personal Accident, Group Travel insurance plans, leave management and coordinates/propose Health & Safety measures in Singapore
* Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations
* Contracts with outside suppliers to provide services, such as temporary / contractual employees services for projects, etc.
* Assist in HR processes verification/audit, annually compensation & benefits exercise and surveys, workforce planning, performance evaluations, learning & development programs in Singapore
* Proposed KPI for Depts, monitor HR metrics & update necessary HR reporting
* Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned

The Requirements:

* 5-10 Years solid hands-on experience as Manager of Human Resources
* Degree in HRM or equivalent
* Someone who has HR Experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, and Construction industries are preferred but not necessary
