Job Description

Our Client:

The Operations Engineer (OE) will support in the deployment of our solution across multiple end-users including ships, customer offices and suppliers in line with deployment plan agreed with each customer and under the direction of the Operations Manager (OM).

The Responsibilities:

* Contribute to the development of the deployment plan for specific customers, with the aim of ensuring a fast and cost-efficient roll out across the customer fleet
* Conduct pre-installation audits and the collection of relevant vessel information for the purpose of preparing vessel specific installation and transformation plans, including specification of installation work, hardware and consumables requirements for approval
* Provide an equipment and service requirement summary for each vessel to the procurement officer after HOO approval. Coordinate with procurement to ensure these required items are delivered in time and manage hardware inventory for vessels under installation assigned
* Contribute to the development of the deployment plan for specific customers, with the aim of ensuring a fast and cost-efficient roll out across the customer fleet
* Conduct pre-installation audits and the collection of relevant vessel information for the purpose of preparing vessel specific installation and transformation plans, including specification of installation work, hardware and consumables requirements for approval
* Provide equipment and service requirement summary for each vessel to the procurement office after HOO approval. Coordinate with procurement to ensure these required items are delivered in time and manage hardware inventory for vessels under installation assigned
* Coordination with the vessel superintendent/fleet manager/dry dock project manager and other external and/or client stakeholders regarding vessel scheduling and to in line with agreed vessel installation plan
* Act as focal point and coordinating the installation onboard vessels, preparatory cabling works, as well as oversight of Transformation Engineers (TE) in the transformation ensuring clarity of purpose, goals and timelines, and reporting to the OM on progress
* Oversee resourcing deployment plans with assigned contractors to execute the roll-out plans according to schedule
* Ensure that all installation works done meets quality and business standards to ensure customer satisfaction
* Contribute to the process improvement across the pre-audit, installation and transformation process, and in ensuring that our operations comply with all regulatory requirements
* Contribute to the continuous updating of general and client/vessel specific pre-audit, installation and transformation SOP's and documentation
* Act as trainers for the training programme of TE's and external stakeholders such as Crew, Superintendents, etc., and deliver training to these constituencies
* To carry out other activities and responsibilities as directed by OM within the Operations Management

The Requirements:

* Any sailing experience
* Experience in installations on projects, such as dry-docking, new build commissioning
* Demonstrate ability to manage systems integration across various set ups, including ability to assess and guide teams to troubleshoot issues on the ground during installation
* Demonstrate ability and knowledge in writing SOP's and similar documentation
* Extensive experience with Planned Maintenance Systems
* Good knowledge of Maritime, and preferably also Oil & Gas industry regulatory requirements, such as:
* Good interpersonal skills and comfortable with managing difficult stakeholders through a change management process
* Excellent communication and writing skills
