Job Description

Our Client:

Our client is one of the largest main contractors in the construction industry in Japan.

Their Singapore branch is currently looking for a Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) to join our HR team, who is well versed in all human resources functions from onboarding to strategic analysis and performance management and everything in between. The HRBP will bring their well-rounded experience and documented success in providing guidance on performance and employee relations, ensuring consistency, and putting managers in a position to succeed.

The Responsibilities:

* Work with various functional teams to understand business strategies, diagnose current organization performance, and develop/implement plans to build needed organization capabilities and support bold growth and innovative changes

* Build a strong alliance with key team members and inspire/empower them to take on more leadership responsibilities on building organization culture

* Partner with current HR team in managing end-to-end employee life cycle, including recruiting, onboarding, development, and exits

* Connect with all levels of employees to improve employee work experience and provide feedback to leadership

* Be a guidance on the application of HR policies, procedures and standards

* Work closely with the HR team to drive continual efforts to improve the HR delivery services

* Work closely with HR team to improve the competency of the employees and especially the development of skills and mindsets of the Managers

* Produce timely accountability reports and provide quality counsel on human resources issues

The Requirement:

* Possess minimum a bachelor degree in any discipline

* More than 5 years of progressively responsible HR experience required

* Have at least 2 years of HR business partnering experience in construction industry is an advantage

* Takes initiatives with a "roll up your sleeves" - attitude and a continuous improvement mindset

* Proven ability to develop relationships and partnerships at all levels of the organization, exhibit strong leadership and influencing skills, and execute, implement, and lead change management initiatives

* Ability to work with senior management in an "influence-without-authority" - role

* Can confidently express your opinion, based on thoughtful data and analysis

* Sound judgment in handling confidential or sensitive information

* Have unbelievable passion, perseverance to overcome teething issues

* Have practical management of people issues, especially for rank and file level

* Good skills and knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines - talent acquisition (both rank and file), employee retention, employee relations, disciplinary and grievances, compensation practices and managing diversity
