The Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
* Deploy, configure, and maintain virtualized infrastructure
* For Virtualization (i.e. VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V)
* For Storage (i.e. HDS (Hitachi Data System), HPE, Dell, EMC, Lenovo, IBM)
* For Backup Software ie Veeam, Veritas BackupExec, Veritas Netbackup, Acronis, Arcserve, ShadowProtect
* Create documentation, conduct root cause analysis, identify trends and recommend best solutions
* Troubleshoot network, hardware, and software-related issues
* Involve in requirements gathering
* Provide value-adding solutions/services
* Serve as a primary support and maintenance resource for customers
* Undertake necessary maintenance tasks during off-hours and provide support for 24x7 operations
The Requirements:
* Minimum Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar field
* VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) is a plus
* More than 2 years of hands-on experience in virtualization technology
* Working experience and knowledge in Linux
* Knowledge of server systems, storage systems, and networking
* Knowledge of data center route/switch technology, backup/recovery in a virtual environment
* Knowledge of Active Directory architecture, DNS administration
* Assess and evaluate current virtual computing infrastructure, and give recommendations for enhancements
* Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong project coordination skills
* Strong customer experience mindset, listening, understanding, and responding to customer needs
* Aptitude to learn
