Our Client:
Our client is one of the leading Japanese manufacturing companies. They are currently seeking an application Engineer to join their team in Singapore.
The Responsibilities:
IT System administrators are mainly responsible for the smooth running of computer systems and ensuring users get maximum benefits.
・Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications
・Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes
・Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
・Replacing parts as required
・Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues
・Supporting the roll-out of new applications
・Assisting with backup/recovery duties including testing of Backups and disaster recovery plans
・Assisting with the development and dissemination of IT security awareness and reporting of security risks
・Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
・Performing routine audits of systems and software to prevent potential issues from occurring
・Working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
・Prioritising and managing many open cases at one time
・Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with colleagues
・Testing and evaluating new technology
・Depending on the nature of the work, may be expected to work extra hours to finish a job
