The Responsibilities:
Supporting management and sharing knowledge
・Provide insights and knowledge sharing to the organization from EHS’ perspective
・Participate in business strategy planning
Managing Environmental Management System (EMS) & Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) implementation
・Develop and oversee the implementation of safety protocols and regulations in the company, aligning them with prevalent health and safety guidelines
・Evaluate EMS & WSH policies regularly to ensure they are up to date and effective
・Manage company’s EMS & WSH licensing, permit handling, operational safety and ISO audits
・Initiate environmentally sustainable work practices
Managing fire safety
・Develop fire evacuation plans and manage fire drill exercises
・Evaluate inspected facilities to locate hazardous conditions, fire code violations and approve recommended rectifying actions
・Review identified corrective actions to ensure properties comply with prevalent regulations and standards
Managing incidents and business continuity
・Review incident reports and provide solutions to mitigate incidents
・Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to validate and analyse statistical data or reports on major incidents or emergencies
・Develop and evaluate emergency and crisis management response plans, processes and procedures
・Manage emergency drills
・Analyze evidence and conduct interviews for incident/accident reports
Managing people and organizational function
・Maintain relationships with management to support EMS & WSH development relevant to their roles
・Provide WSH recommendations to management
・Lead good WSH practice and professionalism as the organization’s role model
・Support implementation of change processes to reduce adverse effects to improve WSH
・Provide timely updates to internal and external WSH information, regulations, procedures to the organization
