Our Client:
A young, agile, and growing Singaporean SME B2B financial software solution firm, the firm delivers versatile fintech solutions, encompassing trading, payments, and remittance across digital assets (crypto) and traditional assets (fiat). Their solution support cloud-based, on-premises, or hybrid deployment in meeting the evolving needs of the financial sector. The firm caters esteemed brokers, financial institutions, and businesses with advanced fintech solutions.
This 2024, the company have been awarded several projects and is currently looking to hire additional Project Manager who will be the essential connection between the project delivery capabilities and to meet the firm's business goals towards their customers.
The Responsibilities:
In your role as a Project Manager, you are to provide support for the software delivery. It includes analytical, building, testing and deployment of the required software features.
Your role will report to the Chief Delivery Officer and will be responsible to manage a matrix in-house team of up to 40 members. The team will be of the developer team (both front end and back end), QAs, and product managers.
To lead the in-house team, you will need to be technically articulate, methodical, time-bound conscious, and able to elaborate your thoughts clearly. Your stakeholders include the external clients (brokerage firms, financial institutions, etc.) in which you will need to deliver their required solutions.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Engaging in end-to-end project management, overseeing progress and ensuring development schedules are met with adherence to quality standards
* Evaluating the risks associated with different solutions and prioritizes conflicting business demands
* Cultivating relationships with clients to ensure precise project delivery according to specifications
* Reviewing and identifies areas within business operations that require improvement, suggesting suitable action plans
* Identifying potential project risks and their impact on the organization, recommending mitigation strategies to manage them
* Maintaining and enhancing documentation for respective areas of responsibility
* Ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements for projects and incidents
* Fostering a culture of high performance for the matrix team
* Establishing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for team members to enhance productivity and efficiency
* Being capable of positively engaging with our business users to overcome project challenges and implement solutions
The Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree from a reputable university, in either Information Technology or Computer Science
* More than 4 years of working experience as a project manager for a software solution firm, ideally with proven records in implementing and deploying solutions into production
* Experience running projects independently while managing an internal development team
* A plus should your background be either of technical software engineering / architect
* Proven experience working with agile environment (Scrum and Kanban)
* A major plus should you come with experience from the domains of fintech / financial trading / capital market / digital assets (crypto)
* Experience with Jira cloud and confluence software (Atlassian)
* Fluent speaking and writing in English and Chinese language for business communication needs
* Willingness to do business travel across Asia (engaging inhouse team members as well as clients)
