Job Description
We are currently looking for a Logistics & sales assistant to:
• Process orders received from customers in SAP.
• Schedule booking with shipping lines base on customers' delivery dates and arrange trucking arrangements with trucking companies accordingly.
• Update customers on their delivery status and handle their enquiries.
• Prepare all the necessary shipping documents.
• Coordinate with customers, warehouses, trucking companies, shipping lines and internal parties to ensure on time deliveries at all time.
• Process Invoices.
• Other ad-hoc tasks assigned including filing, data entry.
• Support in implementation and participate in the continuous improvement effort in the areas of Safety, Quality, Environment and Health Management System (for example SS506 part 3, ISO 9001, ISO14001, OSHAS18001).
• To have a legal obligation to act in a responsible manner for the safety of themselves and other persons who may be affected by their actions or omissions at work.
• Assist the Management in ensuring that Major Accident Hazards are reduce to As Low as Reasonably Practicable (ALARP) and escalate when necessary.
Requirements
Our client needs someone with the following skills:
• Possess Diploma or above. Preferably 1-2 years’ experience in international shipment.
• Meticulous with good interpersonal skills.
• Experience in using SAP will be an advantage.
