Our Client:
Our client is a global freight forwarder.

In summary, the main focus of this role is to act as a business partner to help identify and mitigate risks across the region. Prevent and detect misconduct in regards to compliance with the Business’s Code of Conduct (and Compliance Policies), specifically relating to Anti-Bribery, Anti-Corruption, Anti-Fraud, etc. Develop and maintain an APAC Enterprise Risk Management system, and deploy it in all APAC countries. Monitoring of compliance performance, remedial actions defined compliance assessments, Sub-contractor & agent compliance process, Cash-Policy process, “critical” finance transactions, Gift & Entertainment process and Anti-Trust guidelines (not exhaustive list). Champion risk and compliance awareness at the group level and drive in-country capabilities through trainings and workshops. Work with global level to define scope of country compliance assessment.

• Minimum 12 years’ of relevant regional experience, from which at least 4 years in Risk Management and another 4 years in compliance, governance, or ethics management related work.
• Excellent know how in compliance matters (FCPA, OECD, UK Bribery Act, UN/EU/US embargoes and trade regulations, Anti-Trust and Anti-competition laws)
• Excellent know how in risk methodologies, COSO, Risk mapping, Risk appetite
• Ability for systematic and rational analysis to identify the root cause of problems
• General appreciation of the freight forwarding industry pertaining to risk and compliance trends.
• Demonstrated capability to communicate with different levels of management accurately, openly, constructively and objectively
• Degree in Risk Management or Certified Fraud Examiner/Certified Risk Manager advantageous.
