Job Description
We are currently looking for a Senior/Infrastructure Engineer (Linux/Middleware) to:
• The candidate must process strong technical skills in Linux/UNIX and good LAN/WAN network knowledge to help plan, design and implement a secured, multitier system infrastructure & end-to-end system solution in a large organization.
• Responsibilities.
• Demonstrate good experience and technical proficiency in Linux/Unix platform (Redhat), middleware (Weblogic) and network (layer 3 switch) in large enterprise infrastructure setup.
• Must be able to gather business requirements and help architect, plan and implement system enhancements for RHEL platform to meet client requirements.
• Review existing IT infrastructure and recommend new technology to ensure operational requirements are met and aligned with existing IT polices and governance.
• Responsible for the proper planning, communication and coordination with external vendors to ensure they deliver the required SLA for smooth delivery of various systems and applications.
• Prepare and present regular project reports and documentations. Ensure that the project status and progress are communicated across to all stakeholders, members and contributors in a meaningful manner.
• Provide expertise to regional teams on server and desktop infrastructure domain.
Requirements
Our client needs someone with the following skills:
• Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science and equivalent.
• 5-7 years of experience in supporting IT infrastructure in a large organization with at least 3 years of project management experience.
• Practical skills in Redhat 7 installation, hardening, shell/Perl scripting.
• Good knowledge in layer 2/3 switch configuration, TCP/IP protocol, OSI layer model.
• Possess strong verbal, written communication skills and presentation skills.
• Familiar with Weblogic application server, IBM MQ, Oracle DB setup will be advantageous.
• Experience in large, enterprise scale Java application setup, deployment will be advantageous.
