Job Description
In this role of a Marine Superintendent, the incumbent will play a pivotal role in the following areas:

• Marine Safety. Environment & Quality
• Voyage & Operation Performance
• Client Relationship Building/Client Interface
• ISM/ISPS/MLC
• Audits & Ship Safety Inspection
• Vessel Inspection to ensure compliance
• Marine Incident Reports & Follow Up
• ISM & ISO Documentation
• MMS
• Emergency Response
• Insurance handling
• Drug & Alcohol Testing
• Charts & Publications
• Fleet Management System
• Charter party and voyage orders examination
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following prerequisites:
• Certificate of Competency (Class 1) / Master Mariner Foreign Going in bulk and/or Containers and relevant shore experience as Marine Superintendent or Senior Marine Superintendent on dry and/or container vessels
• Sound knowledge of shipping industry on dry bulk and/or container business, with emphasis on relevant experience in Quality Management
• Must be willing to travel at short notice
• Good people management skills
• Well versed with Oil Majors and/or Rightship requirements, all regulatory, Class requirements and International Standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English and Mandarin) in order to liaise with Mandarin speaking clients and associates.
