Job Description

The PROJECT PLANNER is responsible for developing and maintaining Project Schedules covering all aspects of Company business. These schedules are used to drive project execution through the organization and as such are fully integrated with the various departments within the organization. Layout, content and format of the Project Schedules are required to meet company and customer standards with regard to content, format, layout etc.

1. Develop fully integrated Project Schedules with sufficient information and detail to effectively manage the defined scope as required by customer orders.Project Schedules will generally be developed to include the following levels:
-Contract Master Schedule
-Contract Management
-Baseline Schedule
-Detailed Schedule

2. Maintain the Project Schedule with regular updates as required by the project plan.
3. Identify slippages in the schedule and suggest remedial actions / mitigation strategies to bring it back in line with contractual requirements
4. Resource load as applicable
5. Prepare all necessary reporting requirements including (but not limited to):
a. Overall Project Progress
b. Project Reports as defined by the Project Controls Group to support
customer requirements.
c. VOWD (Value of Work Done)
d. Milestone Reports
6. Contribute information to support Project dashboards for internal and customer reporting, highlighting key areas of concern and recommending course of action for rectification where possible.

Requirements

- Preferably degree qualified in engineering, business or related field, (or 5 + years of experience in a similar field in lieu of a degree) with knowledge of business processes related to Project Execution and within a manufacturing environment.
- Expert knowledge of Project Planning processes and techniques and experience in Primavera P6.
- Capable of producing clear, concise information and report content for both user level and Senior Management as required.
- The ability to interface with multiple departments as required gathering, interpreting and reporting on cross functional activities to support Project execution.
- The ability to gather, review and disseminate multiple sources and formats of data to produce specific information for the Projects Group.
- Comfortable with presenting information in multiple formats to peers, customers and Senior Management as required.
