Job Description
We are currently looking for a Process Engineer (Chemicals) to:
* Make process simulation calculations to evaluate existing plant operating conditions.
* Make recommendation for any corrective measure needed to optimize plant operation.
* Conduct cost and efficiency optimization study to improve plant operation.
* Conduct conceptual/feasibility studies, make the necessary field tests to verify the results and to report the finding for all potential investment projects such as debottlenecking, environmental and cost reduction activities (i.e. reduction or more efficient usage of utilities).
* Perform basic process engineering design including mass & heat balance calculations, hydraulic analysis, development of Piping & Instrumentation Diagram's, equipment datasheets & specifications and conduct HAZOP study.
* Coordinate all plant improvement and modification activities. Prepare detailed engineering design, prepare specifications and requisitions for major equipment purchase, review of vendors' document, conduct hazard analysis, performance tests and commissioning activities.
* Regular update of P&ID's and Line List.
* Performing process reviews and recommend improvements to increase capacity, efficiency, consistency and reliability.
* Assisting the Senior Technical Manager in sourcing and ordering of new equipment and contractor support.
* Defining and implementing minor projects for process improvements.
* Conducting feasibility studies for new process developments or capacity changes for existing processes.
* Engage in commissioning and provide support plant start-up activities.
* Manage and execute CAPEX and modification project till completion and hand over to operation.
* Coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, E&I construction activities. Review and approval of vendor's drawings.
* Troubleshoot process problem during plant operation, identify root cause and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
Our client needs someone with the following skills:
*Degree in Bachelor for Chemical Process Engineering or Petrochemical Engineering.
*1.5 to 3 years of experience in Chemical Plant.
*An aptitude for and interest in chemical process.
*Analytical skills.
*Good communication skill and able to collaborate with different functions.
*Problem-solving skills.
