Job Description

Our Client:

Our client is an MNC Oilfield Equipment Manufacturing and Services Company.

Responsibilities:

* To control Measuring and Testing Equipment
* To set dimensional measurement gauges for machine operators
* To plan to assure that the required M&TE and Standards are available and of the required accuracy range
* To generate and maintain a list of all M&TE subject to recall per the calibration frequency and tolerance chart
* To do assessment of the calibration system
* To maintain calibration work instructions
* To safeguard M&TE from adjustment
* To liaise with sub-contractor to perform calibration for which there is no internal capability
* To ensure all M&TE have a calibration label affixed, showing equipment serial number, date calibrated, due date for next calibration
* To ensure all M&TE are subjected to scheduled calibration as identified in the Calibration Frequency Chart
* To review all calibration reports/certificates issued by sub-contractors for acceptance against Calibration Frequency and Tolerance Chart on permissible error
* To be responsible to manage all loan/hire M&TE requiring calibration shall be supplied with current calibration report/certificate
* To maintain the environmental control of the QC Laboratory at 68 deg F and relative humidity at 55% on daily basis
* To up keep all M&TE in the Calibration Database with serial no.
* To maintain and up keep Calibration Log in the Lab. The log shall include gauge number, status, deviation, date

Requirements:

* Minimum GCE 'O' level qualified, with at least 2 years' work experience in similar capacity preferably in the manufacturing sector Or diploma holder in mechanical engineering discipline
* Completed O-Level or equivalent, with minimum NTC-2 in precision machining
* Proficient in MS Office applications
* Good communication skills
* Good knowledge and experience in setting common dimensional measurement gauges, and inspection of different thread types used in the oilfield equipment
* Adaptable to fast-paced, long hour work environment and able to work in rotating shifts
* Able to read test and inspection procedure or relevant industrial specifications, and generate QC inspection or test reports
* Possess good initiative and work attitude, and able to work independently with minimum supervision
* Hand-on knowledge on American Petroleum Institute (API) 6A requirements and International Standards Organization (ISO 9001 and ISO 17025) standards. Non-destructive examination techniques (NDE)
* Good facilitation and problem solving skills
* Certified and experienced in NDT Level II inspections (LPI & MPI) will be an added advantage
