Our client is an MNC Specialty Chemical Manufacturing company.
The Role:
The Process Technician will be part of the Operations Team responsible for ensuring Operations processes run smoothly as per production plan. The incumbent is expected to be proficient in troubleshooting and resolving operations and process issues.
The Responsibilities:
* Manage safe start up and shutdown of process/unit
* Ensure routine tasks and operations checklists are completed as scheduled
* Issue and close safe work permits and ensure work activities are carried out safely
* Ensure proper handover and takeover during shift change
* Participate in Environment, Safety, Health and Compliance programs
The Requirements:
* Diploma with background in chemical or mechanical
* 2 years' of relevant experience in a manufacturing/polymer plant
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Good team player, with strong self-initiative
* Experience in DCS operations and controls, and utilities
* Supervisory skills is advantageous
* Class 2 boiler attendant certification
* Willing to perform 12hour rotating shift work
Work Location: Tuas
Work Schedule: Rotating Shift (allowance will be provided)
