Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are currently working with a leading manufacturer of HV power and automation equipment & solutions to recruit a Key Account Manager to oversee the development, implementation and management of their account strategy targeting clients in the Power Utilities sector in Singapore. A global market leading supplier of products, systems and service solutions across the generation, transmission and distribution industries their products are designed to enable their clients to build a smarter, greener & more energy efficient power grid and are able to offer a blue chip client base / proven track record of success in the Power sector for you to leverage.

Your role will require you to coordinate existing sales activities whilst developing & implementing strategies to help increase market share, profitability and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will have proven track record of success within the Power Automation / Renewables / Utilities industries, able to leverage relationships with both the Utility / Power Generation companies & government agencies to help achieve sales / Business Development targets. Reporting to BU Head this will be an individual contributor role.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Development of Power Utility BU Sales strategies, providing customer focused solutions for their current and long-term business plans.
* Lead the development and implementation of the key account strategies & growth plan activities
* Set sales targets for the BU and ensuring execution of relevant actions & activities to ensure targets met & exceeded & structured customer follow-up processes are put in place
* Provide customers with tailored products and solutions in line with business needs / targets.
* Creating value added services & solutions for their clients by ensuring execution of a coordinated sales approach.
* Monitoring competitor activity and ensuring appropriate response strategies are formulated and implemented.
* You will also be expected to identify & drive the application of best practice standardized Marketing and Sales processes and tools.

BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE:

* Degree qualified, ideally relevant engineering / sales discipline with Sales and Account Management experience.
* More than 5-10 years' experience in Singapore Market, ideally with previous exposure to the Singapore local power and/or water Utilities industries.
* Experience in any of the following would be an advantage also: Micro-grid / Smart Grid / Power Grid Decentralization, Decarburization and Digitalization / Power Automation / Distributed Generation / high-voltage products and transformers / HVDC electric power transmission systems
