Job Description

* Requires strong knowledge of chemical regulatory requirements, regional/global EHS regulations, ISO standards

Our Client:

Our client is an MNC Specialty Chemical and equipment manufacturer.

The Responsibilities:

* The successful candidate will be responsible to manage and implement the company's regional EHS programs, and to support the execution of corporate chemical product regulatory standards, procedures, systems and processes
* Responsible in overseeing and maintaining facility safety compliance with local government regulations and laws
* For regulatory matters, the incumbent will oversee new chemical and product regulatory matters through planning, scheduling, and coordination of required submissions to all of the countries where the company's products are sold
* Apply in-depth knowledge of chemical industry and its regulations, and keep abreast of relevant laws, regulations, guidelines and policy to foresee changes that may affect the company, and recommend appropriate actions to protect company markets and interests
* Accountable to coordinate activities, budgets, define timing and prepare submissions related to the management of chemical issues, chemical inventory listings and registrations

*Full JD will be shared with shortlisted candidates.

The Requirements:

* Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
* 5 - 10 years of relevant experience in Chemical manufacturing industry
* Strong knowledge of the following:

* Chemical formulation regulatory requirements
* Local and regional/global EHS regulations (for process plants)
* International standards (e.g. ISO 14001, 18001, 45001)
* Legal framework for chemical products and industry trends

* Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with counterparts locally and globally
